At the 2005 Convention Business meeting in St. Louis, the majority of members voted for the 2007 convention to be held in the city of Chattanooga, Tennessee. The Executive Board has decided to change the time from Fall to Spring due to hurricane seasons and other damaging weather conditions. Therefore the new dates will be from Friday May 18,2007 (Early Birds) to Thursday May 24 2007 (after the Farewell Breakfast) Please check the program schedule (still in process)
The Convention Headquarters will be the Chattanooga Choo Choo Holiday Inn Hotel. The Room rate is $76.00 per night plus hotel and sales tax. This hotel has 5 restaurants and shops to choose from . The Theater seats 500 people with plush seats for the memorial service and business meeting. The hotel is located next to the Free Electric shuttle terminal. the shuttle runs every 5 minutes, stopping at various locations throughout the city and terminates at the River Front Terminal . The Choo Choo Hotel offers free transportation to and from the airport and has plenty of free parking. RV parking is available - but no hook-ups. Many tours to choose from in this area.
